ACHA Hockey Sweeps Oakland In National Title Game Rematch

Hope College's American Collegiate Hockey Association team swept Oakland University 10-3 on the road on Friday and 4-2 at home on Saturday.

It was a rematch of the 2018 ACHA National Championship game that the Flying Dutchmen won.

On Friday, forward Bradley Bayshore chipped in three goals for the Flying Dutchmen, while forwards Riley Draper and Peter Stewart, pictured, collected two goals apiece.

Defenseman Cole Stenstrom, forward Maxwell Mones and forward Allan Hirsch, all contributing goals for the Flying Dutchmen.

Goalie Austin Kane stopped 20 shots.

On Saturday, Hope led the game from the start with two goals by Stewart and Austin Peterson. Cole Stenstrom and Bradley Baysore clinched the game with goals to close out the third period.

Kane made 21 saves.

The Flying Dutchmen will compete again next weekend. Friday, the men are home at Griffs Ice House West at 7:30. On Saturday, Hope will travel to Central Michigan for a 7:30 game at the Isabella County Ice Arena.
