ACHA Hockey Takes Two Games From Michigan State

The Hope College American Collegiate Hockey Association team had another complete weekend on the ice with two wins against Michigan State University.

On Friday, the Flying Dutchmen won on the road, 7-3. On Saturday, they completed the sweep with a 7-5 victory on home ice.

On Friday, defensemen Cole Stenstrom and forward Cole Devos chipped in the first two goals.

Defensemen Jakub Myska, forward Peter Stewart, and forward Max Mones all contributed goals for Hope. Brad Baysore had two.

Hope stopped a total of 30 shots. Goalie Austin Kane made 20 saves, while Lukas Shut had 10.

On Saturday, Baysore and Stewart contributed two-goal games.

Forwards Riley Draper and Austen Peterson both scored, as did defensemen Cole Stenstrom.

Kane stopped 29 shots.

The Flying Dutch next play on Friday, November 30 at Calvin. Hope will host the Knights at Saturday, December 1 at 7:30 p.m. at Griff's IceHouse West.
