The Hope College men's basketball team will be busy this Thanksgiving weekend with two games at the 23rd annual Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Classic sponsored by the Lighthouse Group.
The Flying Dutchmen are headed to Calvin College for the two-day event. They play Aquinas College on Friday, November 23 at 6 p.m., and Cornerstone University on Saturday, November 24 at 6 p.m.
Tickets at $10 will be available at the door as well as a perfect-for-families special Four-Person Combo Package to see the four great college programs in action. It includes four tickets and four hot dog combo packs for $50 (valued at $64). Call 800-688-0122 for more ticket information.
Hope is seeking its fourth Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Classic title. The Flying Dutchmen previously won in 2011, 2005, and 2000.
Calvin will face Cornerstone on Friday, November 23 at 8 p.m. and Aquinas on Saturday, November 24 at 8 p.m.
Hope owns a 23-17 record in Grand Rapids Sports of Fame Classic games.
Aquinas enters with a 1-5 overall record. Forward DeShawn Lewis leads the Saints at 13.8 points per game.
Cornerstone is 7-2. Center Sam Vander Sluis tops four Golden Eagles in double figures at 12.8 points per game.
