Men's Golf 10th Place After First 38 Holes Of NCAA DIII Preview In Kentucky

Golfer Daniel Settecerri posing for a portrait Hope College golfer Daniel Settecerri fought through blustery conditions to shoot 5-over-par over 36 holes at the NCAA DIII Preview tournament on Monday in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

The junior from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Bloomfield Hills HS) carded rounds of 74 and 75 at Keene Trace Golf Club to open the 54-hole event at the site of the 2019 Division III national championships. Settecerri, pictured, is tied for 15th among 90 individuals.

The ninth-ranked Flying Dutchmen are in 10th place with a total of 612 (315-297).

The NCAA DIII Preview features 18 teams, including 14 who are ranked in the Golf Coaches Association of America national poll. The event is played on the host of the PGA Tour's Barbasol Championship.

Senior Josh Gibson of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville) is tied for 33rd at plus-9. He fired a second-round 73 after an 80 in the morning.

Senior Andrew Goble of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton) is two strokes behind Gibson and tied for 44th (80-75).

Junior Noah Weigle of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville) is tied for 44th (81-77).

Senior Ben Kramer of Spring Lake, Michigan (Spring Lake) is tied for 75th (87-74).

Second-ranked Emory University (Georgia) leads the field at plus-1 (300-277).
