Men's Divers Take Second Place At Carthage Invitational

Two Hope College men's divers finished runner-up in their respective events during the Carthage College (Wisconsin) Invitational on Saturday.

Senior Brian Simonich of Highland, Michigan (Milford HS) placed second out of 11 divers on the 3-meter board during the event hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Sophomore Grant Williams of Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids) took second in the 1-meter board.

Simonich posted a 3-meter score of 419.45 points. Williams was third at 416.20 points.

Williams recorded a season-best, 1-meter score of 456.75 points. Simonich was fourth with 422.60 points.

Freshman Kamaron Wilcox of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Central) was ninth in the 3-meter with a total of 258.25 points and 10th on the 1-meter with a score of 291.80 points.

Hope's next meet is Saturday, January 12 at the Michigan-Illinois Quad hosted by Wheaton College (Illinois).
