Why did you choose to attend Hope College? Athletics, great education program, and its strong Christian community.

If you have chosen a major, please explain how you plan to use it after graduation: I will probably teach special education at an elementary school for a couple years while getting an endorsement in English as a Second Language.

List a favorite Bible verse and why it is meaningful to you: Psalm 1:3 because it emphasizes the strength and prosperity a person can find through firmly rooting themselves in Christ.

What is your favorite memory from a community service project you’ve been involved at Hope? My co-ed service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega volunteers regularly at Kids Food Basket which makes sacked suppers for students who are on free/reduced lunch. It was so fun because people from the community were helping out as well so it was a great way to bond with people from the Holland community while making sandwiches and packing the suppers for the students.

Where is your favorite place on campus? Probably the pine grove. It is a great place to be with friends and have fun or simply enjoy the outdoors and read.

What is your favorite pre-game music? Generally rap or hip-hop music.

If you could play another sport, regardless of skill, what would it be? Probably dancing. Dancers are so graceful it would be cool to be able to do what they do.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received? If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans (don't stress too much about the future because you don't know what the future holds. Things change. Just work towards your dreams but trust in God's plan for you).
